Power on the router and locate the Reset button (hole) on its side panel. Press and hold (use a paper clip) for more than 5 seconds until all LEDs light on (wireless LEDs may not light on if the WiFi on/off button is off). Release the button and wait the router to reboot. Visit http://tplinkwifi.net to create a new login password.

The reset button is hidden behind the back cover of this small device. Remove the cover and locate the reset button (hole) at the bottom – see the picture above. With the device powered on, use a pin (paperclip) to press and hold the RESET button (hole) for about 5 seconds – until you see that the OLED screen on the front comes off AND after that displays “TP-LINK”; only then release the button and wait a minute or two while device reboots and restores its factory default settings – password and IP adress.

The route should be connected to the power and turned ON. Locate the red reset button on the back panel of the device. Press it down and hold for about 10 seconds – the power light will flash. Release the button and wait for 30-60 seconds for the router to reboot to its default settings.

Power ON the router. Locate the reset button (or hole) on the rear panel – it should be labeled WPS/RESET or just RESET. Press the button for about 5 seconds (but not for less than 5) – the SYS LED should start blinking faster. When this happens – release the button. Wait for the router to reboot



PS. For older versions of this model you might need a thin object to press into the button hole – try using a paperclip. The SYS LED is on the front panel and looks like a small gear icon.

Power ON the router. Locate the reset button (or hole) on the rear panel – it should be labeled WPS/RESET or just RESET. Press the button for about 5 seconds – the SYS LED should start blinking faster. When this happens – release the button. If 5 seconds are not enough – try holding the button down for 8 seconds.

PS. For older versions of this model you might need a thin object to press into the button hole – try using a paperclip.
