Factory reset (Hard reset)

The reset button is located on the front panel of the router and it is clearly marked with a RESET label. Power ON the router and use a thin object (like a paper clip) to press in the reset button/hole and hold for about 5 seconds. Release and wait for the rooter to reboot and restore its factory default settings.

Power on the router. The reset button is on the rear panel and it is labeled either RESET (for the older models, more ‘square’ look) or WPS/RESET. Press the button and hold until the SYS LED starts flashing more quickly. If your button is labeled only Reset – hold it for around 5 seconds; if it is labeled WPS/RESET – hold it a bit longer – about 8 seconds.

The SYS LED is on the front panel – the one that looks like a small sun. You might need to use a thin object to press into the Reset hole.

The reset button is located on the rear panel and it is labeled WPS/Reset. Power ON the router. To enable the reset function you need to push the button and hold for about 8 seconds. Release when the SYS LED starts flashing faster than it had before. Wait for a minute for the router to reboot.

Power ON the router. Locate the WPS/Reset button on the right side of the rear panel. Press and hold the WPS/Reset button for approximately 8 seconds (make sure you hold it for more than 5 seconds). Release when the the SYS LED becomes quick-flash from slow-flash and wait while the router reboots to its factory default settings. 

PS. The SYS LED is the second led on the front panel – the one that looks like a small sun.

With the Range Extender powered on, use a pin to press and hold the Reset button for about 8 seconds. Release when the System LED becomes quick-flash from slow-flash. Wait for about 1 minute for the RE to reboot to its default settings. The System LED is the one that looks like a small gear wheel. 

PS. If you have an older version of this Range Extender try holding the reset button for just about 5 seconds.

Make sure the router is powered ON. The reset button is on the rear panel. Press and hold it for 5 seconds. The AP will reboot after the System LED on the front panel flashes 5 times. You might need a paper clip or another thin object to push in the reset button-hole.
